Pool Construction

Our Pool Building Process

If you’ve never designed a swimming pool, you might be wondering how complex the process is and how long it will take before you can enjoy your dream pool. At Schiller Pools, we bring decades of experience to perfecting the pool-building process. From initial planning to final installation, we’ll guide you every step of the way.

Pool Planning

The journey begins with a detailed discussion about what you envision for your pool, such as its size, purpose, and unique features. Whether you want a serene space to unwind or a fun area where children and grandchildren can play, we’ll tailor the design to fit your needs.

During the initial consultation, our team will explore your budget and overall vision. Together, we’ll develop a detailed timeline for the construction and installation process. This schedule will help you plan ahead, including a celebration to unveil your stunning new pool.

Pool Design

Designing a luxury pool is the most creative part of the process. Our certified design consultants will collaborate with you to map out every detail of your swimming pool. Using advanced software like PoolStudio, we’ll transform your ideas into a visual plan.

This software allows us to customize every element—from the pool shape and tile design to the plaster color. You can also add exciting features like pergolas, outdoor kitchens, rock waterfalls, or water slides. We’ll help you determine which options align with your vision and suggest alternatives to ensure the final design exceeds your expectations.

Pool Construction

The construction phase is the most time-intensive but also the most rewarding, as your pool begins to take shape.

The process includes:

  1. Excavation: Digging a hole larger than the pool to create space for the structure.
  2. Rebar Framework: Lining the excavation site with steel rebar for reinforcement.
  3. Inspections: A city inspector reviews the site to ensure compliance with local codes.
  4. Shell Installation: After inspection, we install the pool shell, backfill the area, and install plumbing systems.
  5. Deck and Patio: We grade the surrounding area, install tiles, and construct the pool deck.

Additional services, such as landscaping, sprinkler systems, fencing, and alarms, can also be included. Once the build is complete, we’ll clean up the site and conduct a final inspection. Afterward, you can install any electrical equipment like pumps or heaters. Finally, your pool will be filled, balanced, and ready to use. Our team will guide you on maintaining your pool and operating the equipment.
